About Farnborough
Farnborough is located in north east Hampshire and was founded in Saxon times with a mention in the Domesday Book of 1086.
Today, the town is far better known for its biennial international air show. Hundreds of companies exhibit at the show which is visited by thousands of people during the event.
The Farnborough Aerodrome is renowned for its historical aviation links which date back to the start of the 20th Century as His Majesty's Balloon Factory was set up here. Since then, Farnborough became well known for its pioneering work; from the first powered flight in Britain in 1908 to the first car to go supersonic on land in 1997.
