Our Infection Prevention Control Policy Outlined
/The idea of boarding a plane or a train may well be far less appealing than it was 6 months ago. Simply having to negotiate a large volume of people is a situation most people want to avoid right now. At the Chauffeur Group we intend to maintain a business as usual outlook, but what are we doing as regards infection prevention control?
How we greet you
Firstly, on arrival we won’t be shaking hands to greet you, unfortunately. We apologise for this and it’s not because we don’t want to, but we feel that, for your own protection and peace of mind, we should limit physical contact.
Wipe down surfaces
Although we know this is not the main way the virus spreads (which is in the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes within about a distance of 6 feet). We feel extra surface cleaning in order to kill any possible microbes, will provide peace of mind and give our customers extra confidence. Using sanitiser, the inside of the car will be wiped down after each passenger has been dropped off and before a new passenger enters. Special attention will be paid to handles and other areas of the car touched by each new passenger. We feel we are better prepared and have better resources than other forms of public transport.
Washing hands
In our office, products are made available to all our staff for enhanced cleaning. Those products include soap, sanitiser and disinfectant. Staff are advised of regular hand cleaning and reminded often.
What else have we done?
We are keeping up to date with the facts on the CDC website and World Health Organisation website. Of course, it is not completely business as usual, but we feel it is important to keep calm and carry on providing our customers with a safe and reliable form of executive business transport.
